Shows In Las Vegas: Some Are Just Unforgettable
By Kevin D Browne
Outside of everything that is so amazing about Broadway in NYC, for a single destination for entertainment, you will not easily beat Vegas. In fact the shows in Las Vegas rival those anywhere else in the world for many.
Whether you want to see Cher or Cirque Du Soleil, there are countless things to do in the desert that seem so much larger than life. In fact for some people who visit Vegas for the very first time, there is that sense of "why didn't anyone ever tell me how much there really is to do in Vegas" feeling that almost everyone experiences.
And whether you go before the show or after, you will also find the best restaurants in Las Vegas featuring some of the finest chefs in the world.
And this is all happening because Sin City has become a true family destination. (Look at how many new cheap hotels are popping up that are just beautiful for families.)
Look at the statistics: the number of cheap hotels in Vegas has literally gone through the roof as the demand for cheap hotel accommodations has skyrocketed in the desert.
But it is the concerts in Las Vegas that most people seem to walk away loving the most. Celine Dion in Vegas, Streisand in Vegas, these are unforgettable concert experiences in the desert.
The shows in Vegas are designed to lure the rest of the family to the city in the desert, not just the business traveler and not just the gambler. It is the shows that light up the signs on the strip and make everyone swoon.
If you really want to see a quality show in Las Vegas, stay at a cheap hotel, and then you are about to experience an amazing time.
You will not believe the amazing quality of the best shows in Las Vegas. So stay in a cheap hotel in Las Vegas and see every one!

Choosing the Right Shows in Las Vegas
By Ian Botham
I recently went to a trade show in Las Vegas. I am involved in the high-tech industry, you see, and so these things are unavoidable. I hate trade shows, but there was nothing that I could do about it. Nonetheless, I was pretty happy to be there. I figured that it would give me the opportunity to check out some shows. I did not think that there would be many Vegas shows that interested me, however. We all know the stereotypes chorus girls, lounge singers, and Siegfried and Roy. None of these interested me that much, but I figured that I would check out the scene anyway. I am glad that I did not stay in my hotel room. Las Vegas has a lot to see!
The first night I was there, I went to a magic show. I was not that interested in it, but some of my friends were going there, and I figured I would check it out. Anyway, it was at the MGM Grand. I had heard a lot about this place, and was interested in seeing it. It was supposed to be so spectacular and over-the-top that you had to check it out. Needless to say, it did not disappoint me.
The magic act did not end up being one of my favorite shows in Las Vegas, but it still was pretty good. I have seen a lot of magic shows in my life, and even know how to do a few magic tricks. I am pretty jaded because I can usually figure out what is going on. Nonetheless, this one had me completely baffled. The shows in Las Vegas have a higher quality then back home, and even the magicians manage to keep it fresh.
Nonetheless, there were many other shows in town that I enjoyed much better. One of my favorite rock bands was actually coming through the area. I did not expect to see shows featuring music that I liked. I assumed that it was beneath the dignity of today's musicians to come there if they were still fresh and real in other parts of the country. It turns out, however, that the shows in Las Vegas are every bit as good as back home. The only difference is that there are more of them.

Best Shows in Las Vegas
By Jason Gluckman
Las Vegas is the Entertainment Capital of not only the US, but also the world. Such a wide variety of shows are available here that it often becomes difficult to choose the "best" show that is right for you. This is also because there are not one or two, but hundreds of shows that feature the best of the business. In fact, the choice or categorization of the best shows also depends on what kind of entertainment you are looking for.
If you are travelling with children, don't forget to take them to some of the great magic shows presented by master magicians here. Often the children sitting among the audience are invited on the stage to assist the magician. Some of the magicians have theatres named after them and they deliver mind-blowing illusions at a very reasonable price.
There are several productions in the city year-round that cater to the demand of those who have a passion for comedy. Some of the best comedians have polished their craft in the lounges of this city, going on to make it big internationally. And if you want to see a world class circus, there is more than one choice for you in Las Vegas.
As far as traditional Las Vegas shows are concerned, some have been running non-stop for a record number of years, with sets worth millions of dollars. And of course, there is no dearth of the best of the best for those who are looking forward to some raunchy adult shows in "Sin City".

The Shows in Las Vegas Keep Getting More Elaborate
By Rachel Gerson
Las Vegas is a primary tourist destination and internationally renowned for its gambling, shopping, fine dining and entertainment resorts. Aside from the casinos, five-star hotels boast of various entertainment attractions to cater to different interests.
Las Vegas is home to some of the biggest performance artists that cater to all your entertainment needs. If you want your imagination to be splendidly assaulted, you can book a seat on one of the shows of well-known magicians. There are also hypnosis and psychic shows for those who are into the surreal.
Adult entertainment has also become a staple in Las Vegas; it is not called Sin City for nothing. The city caters to all sexual preferences; there are adult shows from male strippers to burlesque dancers. You won't be surprised to find a bridal shower entourage watching with you while Chippendales gyrate on stage.
There are also production shows that you can catch while taking a break from your gambling spree. The percussion-driven Blue Man Group has become prominent figures on the strip. Tourists leave their show exhilarated and ready for another round of game at the casino table.
If you want light entertainment, there are several comedy shows that can tickle your fancy. You can choose from a number of veteran stand-up comics or you can go to several clubs that host improv comedy. The ultimate in Las Vegas entertainment is the Cirque du Soleil. It's an experience of a lifetime that will leave you in awe of the performer's ability to take you into their world and temporarily be part of it. Walking into the theatre alone is an experience you will never forget.

Best Places to See a Show in Las Vegas
By Bob Johnson
Think of Las Vegas and you think of music, right? Elvis, Wayne Newton, Tom Jones. But where do you go when you want to see concerts by bands and artists who've hit the charts within the last twenty years?
The best place to see concerts in Vegas is without a doubt at the MGM Grand Garden arena, though the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay is a very close second. In fact, the House of Blues has a vociferous fan base that swears it's much better than the Grand. The House of Blues features attractions that just aren't going to make it to the Grand, at least not yet. MGM gets the big names like U2 and the Eagles, while the House of Blues gets the really interesting bands like the Dropkick Murphys. Either way, both venues have played a role in making Vegas a top destination for currently popular acts.
There's only one thing in Las Vegas that's louder than a rock concert and you really don't even have to move your head as much. Some might consider it a strange relationship to marry Vegas and Nascar, but then who ever thought Vegas and punk rock would get married? The Las Vegas 400 has quickly settled in as one of the city's top local sports events. Of course, it's not called the Las Vegas 400 anymore, but why give a certain car company free advertising when you don't have to. If watching cars go in a circle for three hours isn't your idea of fun, then you can always check out the National Finals Rodeo. This 10-day event features all those things that make rodeos what they are: roping, broncin' and clowns slipping on cowpies. Who wouldn't prefer that to Nascar? Then again, Nascar features car wrecks at 150 mph.
Oddly enough, Las Vegas has no major professional sports team. Perhaps the Saints will eventually make the move if certain congressmen have their way and New Orleans isn't rebuilt. Until then, Las Vegas is the name and hockey is the game. Whaaaattt? Las Vegas has a hockey team? Yes. But that's not the really weird part. Las Vegas has a hockey team, the Wranglers, who play in--get this--the East Coast Hockey League. They're not bad, either, making it into the playoffs in their first year in town.
But let's face it, we all know that when it comes to sports in Las Vegas, there was, is and always will be just one show in town. The Running Rebels of UNLV. Sure, they haven't been a bona fide contender since they had to start playing by the same rules as their opponents, but memories of past NCAA Tournament glory keep bringing the fans back.
